"Hey all…SCORE Editor Michael here…Chloe can’t be with us today. She e-mailed that she was under the weather and, though she tried, Chloe didn’t feel she had her A-game working today. Typical Chloe…only wants to give her very best.
So, think of me as her fill in. Johnny Carson had Jay Leno, Arsenio Hall had Jon Stewart, David Letterman has re-runs…Chloe, gets me...not quite fair, but whaddya gonna do? Might I suggest looking at some pictures?
Now, what do I talk about? (Ya’ll still with me?) You guys and gals are used to reading Chloe do her thing--I loved that Christmas one, by the way. Mighty touching stuff. Mine, it might be just a tad bit less heart-wrenching. Why? ’Cause I’m not Chloe. Still, I do have some Chloe anecdotes...funny...horny...personal. Where to start?
How about the first time I met Chloe in person?
It was Boob Cruise ’95. And, although I had talked to her often on the telephone, interviewing her at length for The Chloe Story and all of the SCORE and Voluptuous pictorials, I had never met her in person. Actually, check that…I had met her. At John Fox’s house before her first pictorial in the Bahamas. But, I didn’t really get a good look or even talk to her. Apparently, she was prancing around the house in her bra and panties, obviously comfortable around John and his wife. The second I walked in the door…beep! beep! She was the roadrunner. The girl practically left skid marks heading down the hall and to her room where she stayed until I left. I did say goodbye to her through the door, to which I got a soft…“ciao.”
That was my first impression.
My second?
Intimidating...yes, I’d have to say Chloe can be intimidating when you first meet her, especially if you know who she is and have seen her in magazine after magazine. Not because she’s some I’ll-kick-your-ass-and-stomp-your-balls Amazon. She’s exactly the opposite, physically. No, Chloe can be intimidating because of her presence. Much different than my first one encounter, my second meeting found a quiet, more confident Chloe who had an aura of star power. She appeared almost aloof and was noticeably quiet–as if she was going out of her way to be reserved. She didn’t initiate conversation or eye contact, and when I caught her staring, she would look away, not abruptly like some rookie-flirt, but casually, as if she was merely surveying the crowd and it had been your time. To be quite honest, my impression after that was…“No nookie with Chloe.” You know how you kinda get that feeling from a girl. Some tell you immediately you’ve got a 99% chance of getting laid–whether through the right kind of eye contact or some other act, like your dick in their mouth, which is generally a good sign. As for Chloe…I never had a plan to sleep with her. I’m Al Bundy–married with children. But, whatever pent-up fantasy I did harbor knew from that first day…it would remain a fantasy.
Ironically, it wasn’t until the last few days of Boob Cruise ’95 that Chloe loosened up. The first few days, she had a bad reaction to the sun which caused her face to break out. I have no idea. If it was up to me, I’d find some enclave in Utah where she, Danni, Brittany (Andrews and Love) would shack up with a certain editor for, say, eternity. But, seriously, I know Chloe’s been talking about retirement, then talking about posing more, then talking about retirement again. From what I can discern, she is in flux…undecided about where she wants to take her life.
If you know Chloe, you might retort…“Now, there’s a fuckin’ surprise.” That’s because Chloe has always been like that. Whether it’s philosophy, yoga, posing, deciding which bottled water to drink, doing that weird Tantric sex thing…she likes to try everything and it tends to give people the impression that she is scatter-brained. Myself, I prefer to think of her as eccentric, and a bit aloof.
An example?
When we were getting ready to film Chloe’s first hardcore video, the photographer John Graham called our office and asked if we knew what Tantric sex was. He was on speaker, and we heard Chloe say that she would like to do Tantric sex. Graham asked her what the hell that was, and she started to explain, in detail.
